Pets in OSRS are only obtainable through hard grinds, or if you’re lucky not as hard. Alternatively, you can do what these scapers did and get an Old School RuneScape pet IRL as a tattoo. Most of them got these tattoos to celebrate the end of extremely long grinds, a piece of luck, or simply their favourite pet.

Multi pets tattoo

This golden chin tattoo was created to celebrate this scaper’s first pet! The artist used different shades of metallic yellow as well as black for details and outline. The chin is created in the geometrical style and is surrounded by peach coloured flowers created using a smooth gradient.
Baby mole tattoo
A month later or so, this scaper added a baby mole tattoo to their collection! Their second pet in game and on their skin was created by the same artist in the exact same style as the golden chin. Even the trio of flowers is consistent. This time, the artist used different shades of brown and grey for the pet and a blue gradient for the flowers. Fingers crossed they get their third pet, Skoto, on their skin as well!
Hellpuppy tattoo
A really rare pet is the Hellpuppy, dropped by the Slayer boss Cerberus. This scaper got the Magic summoned soul that appears during the Cerberus fight standing behind the Hellpuppy. The tattoo is created with multiple colours: reds and black for the Hellpuppy and browns and blue for the summoned soul. The style and gradients are consistent for all the elements of the tattoo, with clean outlines, small details and semi-textured gradients that add dimensions.
Chompy Chick tattoo
This scaper got multiple OSRS tattoos, and one of them is the Chompy chick! The easiest pet grind after the completion of the diaries stands proud on their leg. It was created using clean black lines for the outline and solid colours for fillings and shadows.
Penance Queen pet tattoo
Pet Penance Queen is the rarest pet is OSRS. According to the wiki by 13th December 2023 there were only 2,624 Pet Penance Queen in the game! This scaper is one of them and they brought it on their skin as a tattoo! The tattoo is created using only black ink with an incredible amount of details, clean line work, and advanced shadowing!
Tangleroot pet tattoo
This scaper got a colourful Tangleroot pet on their leg! Created using greys, greens, and a bit of yellow and black this tattoo stands out through the use of both textured and smooth shadowing that give a lot of depth and a personal touch to the whole design! Sadly this scaper still doesn’t have Tangleroot at 100M Farming XP and lost a bet an got it on their skin instead. I’m thinking it was an “if i don’t get it by 100M XP I’ll get it as a tattoo instead”.
Tangleroot sleeve tattoo
This scaper got a sleeve tattoo and one element of the sleeve is Tangleroot, the Farming pet. The tattoo is large in size and Tangleroot stands proud on the back of the forearm. The tattoo is made using multiple shades of grey and green and black for the outlines.
Beaver tattoo
Woodcutting is more than about XP. The Beaver pet is an extremely rare pet you can get only while woodcutting. While this tattoo is not an exact copy of the in game beaver pet it sends a clear message since the beaver is holding a dragon axe and using it’s “chop chop” special attack. The scaper who got it gained 25 million Woodcutting XP without obtaining the pet, so at least they got one on their arm following them forever now.
Herbi pet tattoo
This tattoo reveals Herbi, the pet you can get by Hunting the Herbiboar. The tattoo is created using orange and green for the filling, black for details and shading, and yellow for some details. Interestingly, the artist made use of negative space for the highlights.
Thermy pet tattoo
This tattoo depicts the Thermy pet in a geometric style. The design consists of angular shapes and sharp lines, giving it a fragmented, almost crystal-like appearance. The shading is minimal and mostly done using fine dot work, which adds texture to the piece. The lines are thin and precise, contributing to the overall clean look of the tattoo. The small “99” text included in the design is a reference to the max level in the game.
