In fact, a kitten was my very first pet in OSRS… And the only type of pet for that matter – at least on my main.
Even if my main is doomed, I got Tangleroot at level 88 on my GIM and the Kraken pet at around 1k kc on that very same extremely lucky GIM account. It compensates.
But enough with the blabber! Or not… here’s more blabber about me…

I’m a gamer mom and a freelance writer and currently my addiction of choice is Old School RuneScape or OSRS if you know what I’m talking about.
I am a naturally curious person and an inborn researcher with an academic background and a MA in English and Communication Practices.
And I must admit… I’m not just playing RuneScape. I’m slowly taking a lot of enjoyment in researching about it, staying on top of the news and changes, reading a ton about it on the wiki and other sources, and writing about it.
Gaming history
Old School RuneScape
I discovered OSRS roughly two years ago after I gave birth to my son. The most exciting part about it was that I could play it both on mobile semi-afk and on PC when I finally had a bit of me time.
I’ve recently got my first and second 99s and that was actually delayed a few months because I totally dove into the group ironman mode, some time after it got released.
Between the two accounts I have somewhere near 200 days of play time. One day I want to grow my own HCIM account, but I’m aware that it’s gonna be a while till I drag myself to start that.
Albion Online
Before playing RuneScape, I was full timing Albion Online with extra shifts. I have a playtime of about 6 months on my main alone…
While playing Albion I also had the chance to be one of the first contributors to the Albion Online wiki and that was journey filled with satisfaction!
My priorities shifted a lot when I gave birth to my baby boy and with all the overwhelming everything I couldn’t continue playing Albion or help the wiki, anymore. But they’re doing great!
Even though I thought I was going to be back to a functional state after a month or two into my baby’s life, it actually took me a year over my estimates to actually become semi-functional and start writing again.
League of Legends
Before Albion Online, I used to play League of Legends, where my biggest achievement was winning a tournament and unlocking that cool Ryze skin.
Playing League actually helped me a lot in my Albion career.
Dragon Age
My all time favorite game series is Dragon Age, and I get as enthusiastic as in getting an OSRS pet every time I read any news about the next Dragon Age!
As you can probably tell, I’m the loyal gamer that sticks with the same game for years without really getting bored and getting all the replay value out of solo games… And I’ve been a solo gamer for long.
Probably that’s why I loved the taste of iron so much with the GIM and why I’m really enthusiastic about a potential HCIM account for Old School RuneScape
Other games
I have tried many games, but the games that absolutely marked my life one way or another are, by far:
- Heroes 3 of Might and Magic
- Age of Empires (1, 2, 3)
- Dungeon Keeper II
- The Sims
- Sim City
- Tropico
- Black and White
- Warcraft 3
- Spore
- Supaplex
- Little Inferno
Other interests
As most gamers I’m a gaming tech or gaming gear enthusiast and I do love doing extended research on various pieces of technology.
