Old School RuneScape clans have been an unofficial thing for as long as the game existed, but in 2021 Jagex made it official and introduced the new clan system. While there are various platforms where you can find OSRS clans if you want to join one, this new OSRS Clan Spotlight series will bring you a different insight into what to expect from some of the top OSRS clans, with unique interviews with the clan leadership.

Gont Sgwad is a small Welsh / UK clan that’s looking for 1650 total irons or 1750 total mains. Currently at 90 members the clan plans to remain a small close community of no more than 150 players to preserve the family like atmosphere. Small Print, the clan owner, agreed to answer a few questions for the clan spotlight!
What inspired you to start your own clan in OSRS?
We started as a group of friends all from a small area in Wales; once we’d found everyone from our school who still plays; we eventually wanted to expand into a broader Welsh/British clan so we could enjoy bigger and better Bingo/Raid/PvM events!
What differentiates your clan from other clans in OSRS?
We’re NOT looking to grow into a 500+ member clan. We’re aiming to hover around 150 members so we can develop a close-knit community where we all know and trust each other.
How would you describe the overall culture and atmosphere of your clan? Relaxed with a healthy dose of British humour. We accept 1500 totals and above, but we do have some lower level members we’ve taken under our wing.
Can you share a particularly memorable event that your clan has organized? One of our members getting a 1 KC Dragon Full Helm during a Bingo event! Still blows my mind.
What types of events and activities does your clan regularly host?
Regular bingo events. Wednesday & Sunday events. We have some of the best UK CoX raiders.
What events you haven’t done already but are eager to host in the future? We’re looking to start a PvP tournament in the future if there is enough interest!
What’s the most wholesome moment you’ve witnessed in your clan?
Seeing members develop on their OSRS journeys is always wholesome to us in the Gont Sgwad clan.
What has been the most rewarding aspect of being a clan owner for you personally?
Watching our community grow over time has been massively rewarding. You don’t see many Welsh clans around Runescape so building one has been a goal of mine.

Thanks for reaching out to us! We’re always happy to help grow communities in a positive way in our little Medieval cookie clicker game from 2001.
