This tattoo showcases Jad from OSRS, placed prominently on the forearm—a prime location for detailed work. The style is expressive, with bold, fiery colors and intense shading that bring out the fearsome qualities of the boss. The technique blends elements of realism and illustrative art, using color layering to create a lively, textured effect on Jad’s skin and the surrounding flames. The placement allows the tattoo to be both a statement piece and a conversation starter for those who recognize this iconic game character.

Jad Arm Tattoo

Jad is one of the biggest early challenges, so much so that he always remains in the memories of players. This scaper also chose to have Jad permanently on their skin. The tattoo uses red, black and white ink to create a furious Jad that sits on some specific lava ground.

This is a large blackwork style tattoo that represents OSRS’s Jad while he’s performing a magic attack! The tattoo covers a good portion of this scaper’s torso on the left side. The design relies on thick bold black lines and negative space, as well as a tiny bit of red to represent Jad’s magic attack.

This tattoo depicts TzKal-Zuk rendered in a linework style with minimal shading, giving it a bold and graphic appearance. Placed on the ribcage, a choice that suggests personal significance, the tattoo uses crisp black lines to define Zuk’s armored form. This tattoo depicts TzKal-Zuk done in a black and gray realism style with geometric shading. The shading uses smooth gradients, enhancing the 3D effect and creating depth within Zuk’s stone-like armor. The artist incorporates dotwork and fine gradients, giving the armor texture and a rough, stone-like appearance. A small touch of red ink highlights Zuk’s eye, adding contrast against the grayscale tones. The tattoo is placed on the forearm, allowing space for the elongated design to follow the arm’s natural lines. The combination of realism and geometric elements gives it a solid and defined look.

General Graardor Tattoos

Colourful General Graardor Tattoo

Original image source

The tattoo portrays General Graardor from OSRS, inked on the lower leg, a spot that suits the General’s imposing stature. The art style is reminiscent of traditional video game graphics, with a bold use of color and clear outlines that give it a vibrant, almost animated look. Shading is used subtly to give depth to the armor and flesh tones, while the greens and yellows are bright and command attention. The choice of placement on the lower leg means the tattoo is both easily visible and can be covered if desired, matching Graardor’s own powerful but straightforward presence.

Black Graardor Tattoo

This is a highly detailed tattoo that portrays General Graardor. It is created only with black ink and it makes use of very small lines and detailed shading for an overall outstanding effect.

Vorkath Tattoos

Cute Vorkath tattoo

Original image source

The tattoo displays Vorkath from OSRS on the upper arm, a prime spot for its large and detailed portrayal. Rendered in a stylized, neo-traditional approach, it features thick outlines and a cool color scheme, with hints of blue that suggest Vorkath’s icy breath. The shading technique gives depth to the dragon’s form, while the speckles and lighter touches add a dynamic texture. The composition, wrapping around the arm, takes advantage of the body’s natural curves, enhancing the artwork’s visual impact. There are other Vorkath tattoos which I used to put together the dedicated article about OSRS Vorkath Tattoos.

Great Olm tattoo

Original image source

The tattoo is a detailed representation of the Great Olm placed on the upper arm, allowing the intricate design to flow with the arm’s contour. Rendered in a black and gray style, it showcases the Great Olm with a high level of detail, particularly in the texturing of its skin and the shading that gives depth to its form. The technique employed creates a dramatic, almost stone-like appearance, with the creature appearing to emerge from the shadows

KBD tattoo

Original image source

This KBD tattoo is done in a neo-traditional style, recognizable by its bold outlines and solid color fills, combined with more intricate details than a classic traditional tattoo. The thick, clean black lines outline the dragon heads, while the shading uses a mix of black and grey to give depth and texture, especially in the scales. Dot work is subtly incorporated to enhance the texture without overwhelming the bold, structured design. The flower at the base of the tattoo is also a typical element of neo-traditional tattoos, using a simple color palette and stylized shape. This style blends old-school tattooing techniques with a modern approach to detail and shading, resulting in a strong, lasting piece.

This is a forearm tattoo of KBD. The realistic tattoo is created using bold vibrant colours, advanced shadowing techniques, as well as large number of fine details that really bring King Black Dragon to life!

Chaos elemental tattoo

This striking tattoo, inspired by the Chaos Elemental from OSRS, is featured on the front of the neck, a bold choice for placement that enhances its visibility. The style is reminiscent of traditional American with vibrant colors and bold lines. The eye is central and detailed with various shades of purple and green, radiating an intense gaze. Surrounding it, explosive bursts of yellow and red with dynamic black accents capture the chaotic energy associated with the Elemental. The technique displays skilled color saturation and contrast.

Cerberus Tattoo

The tattoo features a stylized depiction of Cerberus. The image shows a three-headed canine and a spirit. The color palette includes shades of orange, red, and grey, with black outlining to define the details of Cerberus’s form. The artwork also incorporates flame-like elements that suggest the creature’s association with the infernal. The tattoo covers the wearer’s arm, demonstrating a commitment to the game and the significance of the Cerberus boss within the OSRS community. The design is bold and dynamic, making it a standout piece of body art.

Zulrah Tattoos

Colourful Zulrah tattoo

Original image source

This tattoo shows Zulrah in a traditional American style featuring bold black outlines and a bright, simplified color palette. The serpent coils around a banner reading “NORTH” with its body showcasing shades of green, teal, and touches of yellow. The technique includes solid color fills and a careful use of negative space to enhance the design’s clarity. Positioned on the calf, a versatile choice for size and detail, the tattoo stands out as a colorful tribute to this iconic boss from the game.

Colourful Zulrah tattoo

Original image source

The traditional American style seems to go along well with Zulrah and this tattoo is just another interpretation of that. Same style, same boss, yet different perspectives and outcomes. While the North one is the tanzanite Zulrah, this one matches the colouring of the magma Zulrah. They are kinda matching tattoos, but without further evidence such as a side by side photo, it’s hard to tell whether it’s just a coincidence or they were really made to match.

Black Zulrah tattoo

Original image source

Zulrah seems to be as popular for boss tattoos as he or she is for money making. The gender fluid snake is represented with only black ink in this arm tattoo.

Unfinished Zulrah Tattoo

Original image source

This tattoo captures Zulrah, the serpentine boss from OSRS, in a detailed black and gray style. Inked on the forearm, an area that allows the sinuous form of Zulrah to curve with the body’s natural shape, the design features meticulous shading and fine lines to highlight the creature’s scales and flowing movement. The artist’s skill in grayscale shading creates depth and dimension, while the placement on the forearm presents Zulrah in a way that seems to slither and come alive with each movement of the arm.

Black Zulrah Tattoo

Original image source

This tattoo on the calf captures Zulrah in a sleek blackwork style. It employs fine lines and dotwork to create shading and dimension, giving life to Zulrah’s coiling form. The tattoo artist has chosen to forego color, relying on the contrast between the detailed scales and the skin to make the image stand out. Its placement on the calf utilizes the natural shape of the muscle, allowing Zulrah to appear as if it’s moving with the leg’s movements, embodying the fluidity associated with this boss or how fluidly one must prayer switch when killing him.

Muspah Tattoo

Original image source

This tattoo has the Phantom Muspah at its core, but it is also a godsword tattoo and it also displays a serpentine visage. The entire tattoo is colorful with tiny black outlines and great watercolour shading.

Nightmare of Ashihama tattoo

Original image source

This tattoo depicts the Nightmare of Ashihama. It is created using a black and gray style with heavy shading to emphasize the boss’s form. The use of bold outlines defines the figure, while the background includes detailed line work to create texture and movement. The tattoo placement on the forearm allows for a vertical orientation that complements the elongated design of the character. The technique focuses on contrast between dark shading and lighter areas to highlight the creature’s features. The surrounding text is done in a script style, adding an additional element to the composition.

Kraken Tattoo

This is a one of a kind Kraken tattoo! The stunning design features a differently coloured boss surrounded by some stylized waves! The bold statement tattoo is placed on the inside of the forearm just above the wrist featuring various shades of two complementary colours: orange and blue!
