OSRS vs IRL: OSRS weapons tattoos

Many scapers have decided to tattoo weapons on their skin to celebrate the connection they have with Old School RuneScape. Some decided on dragon dagger tattoos, others opted for the dragon scimitar, while others picked to get godsword tattoos. These weapons are none of that!

Twisted Bow Tattoo

This scaper got a T-bow in game at 32 kc, so he decided to get one on his skin. That did make his girlfriend question stuff, as she posted his tattoo together with the text “My boyfriend got a RuneScape tattoo I think he loves his Twisted bow more than he loves me”. The tattoo is quite simple and monochromatic and the exact tattoo location cannot be guessed from the photo.

The dragon warhammer is a pretty useful spec weapon in game and this scaper decided to always have one with them and got this colourful dragon warhammer tattoo on their inner forearm. The tattoo is of a small size and it includes two separate styles of tattoos for the handle and the head of the hammer, with the head being a fully filled tattoo, while the handle only has a partial shading and not a full filling. And speaking of spec weapons, check out these godsword tattoos.

When the goal is killing dragons, or dragon bosses then the dragon hunter lance is your best bet! This scaper surely loves killing dragons, so much so that they chose to tattoo their favourite dragonbane weapon on their leg. The design is very interesting and it surprises with the composition being almost entirely made in black ink, but some small details with light blue. The scaper admits it’s their “first colored tattoo after so many B&W ones, and also first Runescape tattoo, paying homage to one of my first games ever”.

This scaper chose to tattoo the Scythe of Vitur on their face. They disclaim that “Before you all get all <<why would you do this>> about it, I was planning on getting a scythe there anyway, just thought I may as well get one that reminds me of a happy place since I’ll see it every time I look in the mirror”. The tattoo is made fully with black ink and it is an accurate representation of the in game weapon and it covers from above the eyebrow towards the beard line.

Large Scythe of Vitur tattoo

If the other two scythe tattoos were rather small especially in comparison, this one is a large scale representation of the weapon with the focus on the scythe’s hanging lantern which is designed on a much larger scale than the in game version. This tattoo is not an accurate representation of the item, but rather a tattoo that took inspiration from it to create something completely new, with other details being different than the in game version, such as the wooden handle. The tattoo is made with full colours and it contains a huge number of details.
